Alexander & Co has transformed this pre-war pavilion to include a ground floor front bar, Balsa restaurant, kitchen facilities, external courtyards and a refurbished original staircase leading to a functions/events area with a built-out balcony

As you walk up to stairs leading to this iconic institution, our custom-designed steel doors welcome you into the main entrance/foyer area.
The existing Arched windows which form an iconic element of the Hotel’s exterior were replaced with our new custom designed operable steel framed windows which allow patrons to take in the bustling courtyard with glimpses of the stunning Freshwater Beach.
The internal floor to ceiling custom made steel doors and windows featuring slumped glass separates the front bar from the Balsa Restaurant.
This project has featured in multiple publications and was a finalist in the Belle Magazine’s Hospitality Interior Category and Shortlisted for both the 2021 Restaurant and Bar Design Awards – Australia and Pacific -Standalone and Australia and Pacific – Hotel
The steel windows throughout the hotel are triple glazed and sound rated for up to 120 decibels. Perfect for live and loud gigs.
